Dust Mites in your bed

It is estimated that up to 25% of the weight of your mattress after ten years of use is from dust mites and their droppings. This is not only "yuck." It's bad for your health. Dust mite droppings, known as antigens, is the number one cause of asthma. Your bed becomes a wasteland of bio-toxins that you willingly hunker down in, night after night. Did you know that you were sleeping with the enemy?

The Better Sleep Council recommends that you replace your sleep system every five to seven years. Your mattress doesn't last forever, and it is one of the best investments you make. Did you know that a quality mattress can change the energy of your life and only cost you about thirty cents per night. That's less than four cents per hour of sleep. Is that too much to pay for a life enhancing product? I didn't think so. By the way, how old is the mattress you are sleeping on?

What do you suggest as a way to best keep a newly purchased set clean?
Should I just get a mattress pad or one of those full covers?

Sorry for the delay in answering. The best way to protect yourself from the dust mites is a protector pad. These are available from most sleep shops and companies such as Bed, Bath, and Beyond, etc.
